"Lunar Trinity" By Oty
Lunar Trinity is comprised of 3 different lunar photographs to make the overall composition.
Mineral Moon (Left) : The colours here are natural but amplified to reveal the different minerals of the moon. The green-coloured rocks are mostly from oxygen, silicon, magnesium, iron, calcium and aluminium.
The orange is due to hydrated iron oxides and the blue shades contain more titanium. The near side of the moon is made up of 50k individual frames during the waxing crescent.
Full Moon (Middle) : A fuller brighter first quarter phase was used to create an almost full moon effect, around 80k individual frames were shot for the additional detail.
B&W Moon (Right) : Around 40k frames of a different waxing crescent were shot for this individual moon. The data was then edited in black and white to create a different and almost dark feeling.
